Honduras
So I am super excited. I have this super cool trip planned for over Christmas break. I will be home form two weeks then I will be headed to Honduras.
Why is this trip so cool you ask?
Well let me tell you...
We are building playgrounds ( I love building and I love playgrounds!!!!)
but it gets better.... I know who knew it could get better.
I am doing it with college kids from my church here. (I like them a lot too.)
but wait it gets even better.....
I am doing it with college kids from my church and from the landscape architecture program here. ( yeah kids I don't know but will know. I love meeting new people!)
So this is really cool. We are making a group of people with different backgrounds and beliefs to go and meet the needs of others. So cool!
I am really excited about this if you couldn't tell. I can't wait to go and wee what happens. I am sure whatever I am expecting will not happen so I am trying not to hold on to what I expect too much. I am excited to see what God does with this. With the conversations that come about based on the fact that we are two different groups that don't necessarily have same beliefs. I am super pumped. I will hopefully be posting more as we get ready to leave.
We leave on the 5th of Jan. and get back on the 18th.
I just ask for prayers for our trip and our group.

This week... This is my last post. I have one week left until I have to go home. I am not looking forward to leaving here. I love it here and serving people is just so amazing.
This past week was once again great. MY group was another new one. They were awesome. They worked so hard. They just pounded it out. They had fun together I think half of the group was related in some way. They took time to know the family. they built a house. How cool.
The site we were working on was interesting. we went to look at sites on sunday night and there was still a house standing where we were to build the next day. We roll up at 8 and the family was working to level the ground. They must have worked all night cause the ground was one of the most level sites I have had this summer. The family was awesome. they were super helpful. the dad would see me trying to hammer something to high for me and he would step in and do it from me. The mom would see how we were nailing in the chicken wire and would go get a hammer and help out. it was so cool. Also the mom had been learning english for a few years so she would try and talk to us. Also the kids around the area really got along well with the kids in the group so they got to hang out. It was cool on the last day one of the it was one of the mexican kids birthday and it also just so happened that the group brought toys to past out so he got a box of toys to share with this friends on his birthday.
So bottom line great week great group awesome family.
To cap off this week we went surfing yesterday which was super fun got a great deal too. 15 for board and wet suit. super fun just playing in the ocean and riding the waves. also Friday was sams birthday and he loves taylor swift so for his birthday we got him a t. swift pinata from a family we built for a few weeks ago it was awesome.
I have a new group this week I don't know where they are from but I am excite for it. I am bummed that I only have this one week left.
Pray
for health we have a few people feeling sick. Ali is sick and I have stomach craps but am fine.
for fun it is our last week lets have some more fun
for safety as we all travel back home
for the families we are building for and the families that are building

So good and sad week. I loved my group they were awesome. They worked hard where a first time group but rocked it out in a day and a half. They were awesome the kids just worked and had fun and were fun to hang out with. Sad week though because they come from so hard places and sad because I ended up helping finish this house with another nexus for a family that the parents were doing drugs and the kids looked like they were starving. It was just hard to see because the kids don't deserve that and did nothing but have to live like that. It broke my heart. On another happy note though. Matt had thrown stucco at one of the staff and in pay back Matt got held down and a bucket of stucco dumped over his head. It was fun to watch.
i don't know I only have 2 weeks left here and I am sad. I don't want to leave it. I want to see everyone back home but I don't want to leave this place and these people.
We hung out in Rosarito yesterday. Rode horses on the beach and took a nap it was fantastic.
Church today was good. James 3 everything we say has the chance to lift some one up or tare them down pick your words carefully. Words are loud and people hear. Our actions might be Christ like but is what you are saying match that. It works the other way too. So really say and act in a Christ like manner. keeping a check on your mouth goes beyond not cussing. think about what you say and do and how it represents god. are you building the kingdom or tearing it down with your words? words are a reflection of the heart and people know that so think about it and think before you speak. This is something I am working on this week and weeks to come. Feel free to join me in this challenge.
That is about it.
Pray for...
I get some direction on what to do when I get back.
That the last 2 weeks are amazing
that all the nexus leave here on good notes and have lasting friendships.
Love you guys thanks for all the support and prayers you have given me over the summer. keep them coming they make a difference.

I don't even know where to start. I don't really have much to say but I am sure I will find something to talk about.
Lets start with today. At church this morning we read James 2:17-...
It got me thinking. here is what i took away from it. you have to do more then accept Jesus to be saved. now be for you go jumping down my throat let me finish. there are two meanings to the word save. there is the meaning by which we know it and there is this other meaning that means make whole. SO to become whole to life a whole life full of joy there is more then Jesus there is action. you have to act it out and live it and serve others with that love.
We also talked about Christianity being to safe. We need to step out and say yes to God and get involved in the work of experiencing God. I mean I need to. I live to safe right in my comfort zone . I need to step out in faith and be willing to be lead by God and not only be lead by him but to say yes to his leading. It is one thing to hear and one thing to act on what you hear.
As for the week. It was good. the groups were once again awesome. But really this week I bonded with this little girl named Luce. she was awesome. she would just follow me around and we would play rock paper scissors. it was so fun. She was just so awesome. I am sad i was not there to get to see the keys handed over cause it is my favorite part and my week doesn't feel complete without it. But what can you do.
i was really tried this week and still am today so if you could pray for energy. and also pray for our group as we only have 3 weeks left together. Pray that we continue to get close and grow deeper in our relationships with each other and with God and that we have the energy and the focus to give the last few groups the same experience as the first few groups.
We saw Batman 2 times this weekend. It is a good movie. Some people bought nerf guns so I have been getting shot all week but it is fun.
I think that is about it. I love you all and please keep praying for my team as we finish up strong.

Two week and finally some time
SO Last week I didn't have time to write much. but now I have a little more time.
The past two weeks have been so good. I worked with an awesome youth group from VA. They were so cool. They just had a ton of fun and it was a joy to be around them. They came down connected to new Prov. which is one of the things I have loved about new prov. That is how the connect and bring down people and get people started with Amor. it is awesome. Then this past week I worked directly with New prov. They are a blast let me tell you. They know how to have a good time and they have amazing food. I eat with them for 2 weeks and I think we repeated one meal. it was fantastic. and more then the food the people were awesome. The relationships I got to have this past week were so good. The people are so caring and loving and open. I just loved getting to know them and have a good time with them. I just can really put into words how much fun I have had with them the last two weeks.
The last day the pastor from New Prov. and one of the local pastors had a combined church service. It was the coolest thing. To see both Mexicans and Americans worshiping side by side and dancing and praising one God is so Glorious. The Mexican pastors wife got up at the end and said that when we are here things are so happy and promising and her neighbor hood is so nice but when we leave things get sad again. That really hit home for me. As much work as we do here there is still more to be done. It never ends. She said that one day they would break out of the 4 walls of there church and I believe that. That one day the local church is just going to shine. I mean it already is.
This past Saturday we helped out at a local church with there kids program. And man you can see it shine. The kids are loving it and it goes on every sunday, that is the church in action. it is not a once a summer thing but every saturday this happens and they love it. They have fun. WE had fun.
Then we had more fun and went to a sick luchadora fight. it was sweet. I loved it. we had to leave early and it was so not cool cause I wanted to stay. but what can you do. At the end as I was literally being pulled out of the building the fighter was getting into a fight with one of the people in the crowd it was sweet like WWF.
i am still loving the Nexus team. i have spent the past weekend relaxing with them in SD. And we have talked a lot and i think it will better the relationships with in the group.
Fun work site things:
- I have a chicken wire twister now so generously donated to me by Eddy from New Prov.
- I did a volcano cement mix with 3 bags of cement and 225 shovels of sand.
- I played with kids from the group and the home
- I spoke with the family comparing words
God Things:
- I don't remember what I have already written so it might be a repeat.
- You have to make time for him. I am in the desert in Mexico with Christians everyday. That doesn't mean i am spending time with him or it will magically be easy to do this. i can still fine distractions and busy my self with things.
-Which leads to point #2 the past 4 days I have been hearing or seeing from god this " be still and know that I am god". I don't know why I keep hearing this but I do. What is God trying to show or teach me? Do I need to slow down and make time for him? Do I need to refocus? I don't know but I think I need to do some thing.
- It is not somebodies deservingness of love it is my ability to love them just as I deserve no love but receive it from Christ. Big statement try it out. It is hard but it makes others feel dang good.
Prayer:
-Sarah has tonsillitis
-Ali has pink eye
- i have a cough after Sarah drank out of my water bottle (I dont think I that tonsillitis)
- Protection for grops this week
- Protection for nexus that we stay healthy.
I think that is it. I have 4 weeks left here. I am excited for them and I love it down here. I miss everyone back home but I can't imagin leaving here.

They group got me a cake and candy. All around good week. I am excited to work again with New Prov this week. Oh man I love it down here.
Side note new therory on relationship with others: It is my ablitity to love tot he fullest that they get not the love I think they deserve. New practice for the week. A wise person told that to me last week.
Thanks for all the birthday love and I will write more next week!

So lets see here. My home church was here this week. It was super good to see them. It was fun to get to serve them and make them feel welcomed and taken care of for the week. It adds a whole new dimension to the job when doing it for some one you know.
It has been a good week. I have been learning lots. We have been coming in to the US on Sundays for church. The church we have gone to is teaching on the book of James. It was been good with some practical things to keep in mind. Also Just the real convos that I have been able to have in the past week with my team members has been great too. Lots of talking about God and sharing what we have been reading. The most resent is Romans 14. i have been thinking a lot about this summer and how it all relates to life.
Anna the other day when we were walking around downtown TJ asked me if I have thought about going home and how that will go and all. And I have and what I have come to is this. It will be really hard to come home. I love it here and I love it at home. That is not the hard part. the hard part is how do I take what I have learned here in this completely different life and use it back home. I mean down here it is slower and simple for the most part, you are surrounded in general with good people who will lift you up and support and challenge you to grow. Now I can try all I want to take back these things to Madison or home or where ever but the truth is it is hard. Because all I know is the life style and routine I lived at home. how do you go back and not fall back into your old pattern? That is the challenge and thought of the week. I have learned down here that a lot of things don't matter. that is the simple life. I don't need the newest coolest thing. And not that I was super like that before but even more so now I don't need it. I can get along just fine without it and it is just another thing to add to the growing pile of junk in my closet. That is I think the easiest to take and put in to practice the rest involves life changes and commitment and thought out planing which is a lot of work but no need to worry about that now I have another month to think about that.
Let see what else. It was good this week to get lots of hugs. Our team doesn't hug that much it makes me sad. but I got a lot this week from my dad and friends and family so that was super good. Also I got back rubs and gave out a few too. It was good to see everyone. Super fun to get to see the difference in how each group from the same church built the house.
I went to the Mexican Circus yesterday which was interesting not Nealy as good as the American or Russian ones.
Also yesterday we walked about Tj. I was amazed by this one guy. He was a shop owner in a market and sat there with a paint brush dusting off every stain glass window piece he had. Now this amazed me b/c here we are in a super dusty place. He know the second he puts that down it will be covered in dust yet again, but still he sits and takes such care with each piece to dust and place it in the perfect spot. Just the care and attention he showed put me back. I don't know How many shop owners int he US would do that.
It kind of goes back to the way it is down here. The families we worked with this week all at least once got food for the team. you know it is they have nothing yet give it all to us. WE have everything but give just enough to make us feel or look good. One family cooked and said that it was a little food but made with a lot of love. You know things like that. WE handed three families keys to house this week. WE made a difference in those lives. And not just those but many more. 20 kids attended a VBS the group put on. and one little girl who roamed one site said we were nicer to her then the people around here. how cool those kids and that little girl will never forget the group that came down. the impact that the group has on the community is almost endless. I watched one group had over the keys to a crying mother and that is when you know that no matter how stressful week or what else is going on in your life it was all worth it.
So I leave you with that. a reminder that as long as you are impacting someone for God it is worth the pain and the stress the struggle and sweat.
Prayers for the week..
That we would all have a renewal of spirit (we have been at this for a month now and some of us getting tired. not of the work we love it but physically and emotionally.
Praise we all had a healthy week!
Love you guys. Thanks for all the support and prayer Have a good 4th of July.

Another Week Gone by...
SO i had my first real week here kind of. I worked with two different groups for two days each. I still haven't gotten to work for a full week with a group yet. I worked with a group out of AZ for the first two days.
This group rocked it. For real. They started on Sunday and they tell me they poured their slab in 2 hour and 6 minutes, Now that is dang fast! They were an awesome group i learned a lot from them. We got to see the mother on the last day. She was a single mom with 4 kids and worked at Calimax. She took the afternoon off with no pay to help finish up the house. She just broke in to tears when we started to hand her the keys. She was so touched. This group was awesome though. they welcomed me in and they had a lot of fun. I was sad to see them go at the end of the two days.
On Wed. I picked up a group from CA. They were brand new. They had never built a house before and were coming from a wide background. The leaders were a little nervous. They had a mixed group of Christians and not, Kids who knew how to work and the lazy kid. Oh yeah and they had a hard sit like the one we had at training. So we got to work. The leader was great she pounded out the slab. I mean it was not just her but she was for sure pushing the group to the max. It was awesome. The finished their slab and one of the walls which is a great start to the week especially for a first time group. This group worked really hard. They were also really cool b/c as a group of a mix the leaders were all about sharing. So one day at lunch they had nick and I share about why we are hear and what not.
I told they I am here b/c it is a totally worth it summer. I am down here living a sweet summer. and I am doing good in the area for God. I mean it is not about me at all really and the cool thing is that Amor runs through the Church so the house is a gift truly from God not from a bunch of white people who decide to give a week. And the impact you have is for Christ. I mean I am not building these house the groups are and the groups turn over the keys. The church gives the house in the name of the Lord not in the name of Kelsey. Which is cool to know that God is using my Summer in ways that I can't see and will never see.
It was cool to get to talk tot he group and encourage them in different ways. one of the kids said this was the hardest he had ever worked but he was having fun. I mean what a cool thing to get to hear. Also at the end of the two days the leader thanked me. They thanked me for my patients and said it was a gift from God which was cool to hear. I mean I didn't even think I was really doing all that much to be patient with them but they said a few people had said that. Which to me just shows once again that God is working in ways I don't see or know. Another cool thing that was in a way a God thing. I was to work with Chelsea this week but then TJ told me I was with him all week which is why I worked with this group. I mean Nick and I were both there which was needed so it was a God thing that I got switched to the group at the last minute.
This sunday we came in early to go to church. It was fun. I really enjoyed it the message was on James 1 and Pure Joy. Which is cool cause that is what Alex has labeled his summer pure joy. That no matter what happens or the struggles we have that we think of it was pure joy. that is only gets us closer to God and that it is all to mature and teach us for Gods plan. So it was good.
This weekend was crazy hot. I mean like danger. Camp is so hot even at night I don't' sleep in my sleeping bag. people are passing out on work sites and getting sick.
With that being said here are some prayer requests for the week.
WE are finally was a group getting a little better not was many people sick this week so your prayers have been working. Keep it up
Pray that we find ways to stay cool as the heat gets worse.
That our groups are smart and drinking lots of water so we have no incidents at the work sites.
That we as a team would get along and work though some of the tension between us.
Also I am super excited to see my home church and work with them this week. Also our sites are an hour away from camp so pary for safe travel.
Week three- the building of the banos
SO this week was different. I was on Camp set up duty. Amor has camps in other cities and these camps are not permanent so we set them up and take them down. So this camp is just up for two weeks. So I got the privilege to build and set up the banos. This means that I take the old banos that were used some time in the spring and then put them back together for this camp. Now this is a glorious job. You see these pieces of wood have not in anyway really been cleaned since they were used last. So be careful what you touch and try not to breath in any of the dust coming off of the them. There is all sorts of toilet paper and poop still stuck on them. Not to mention that the way they are stored is the prime location for Black Widows. You know those nice harmless spiders that like dark most areas. Yeah we killed about 15 of them and saw a snake good times!
On Thursdays I got the privalge of working with a group from Alabama. They were pretty darn cool. They were building a church and had two layers of stucco to put oon the last day which is a kind of a lot for a church in one day. It was cool though to see them work so hard to finish it and they did. Then after they were done they got to do a really cool dedication with some singing in spanish. It was cool and emotional. I didn't even build that much of the church but it was cool to talk to the group. It was nice to hear the impact they knew they were making for God. How cool to know you are being used by God to Build something you know will be used to further his work. A church that will minister to the local people and show and share his love. I mean a house is cool don't get me wrong. It make a huge impact on that family and the community sees the love of christ too, but what an experience to know you are building a house mean just for God and his work. It was a great experience.
We moved camps again on Friday to Rosaireto (sp?) Yeah that is the camp I set up all week. WE just got settled in to camp today. It is so nice there is this family camp from Indiana there and every morning they clean the banos. It is pretty exciting. We had a meeting in SD today. It is just a little team meeting to talk about this prayer book we are reading and to have a person from some area of the ministry come and talk to us. Today was Steve Horax. He has been around for ever and is in charge of international relations. It is cool we talked a lot about the new area that Amor is moving into. They have started to work in South Africa which is awesome. Also we found out that Amor really tries to stay out of politics but also that the government really backs us up. In Rosaireto the local Gov. donated all the cement we are using this week and in TJ I think we got half of it donated. Which is cool.
Well Saturday we hit the beach. I got so burnt on my face. Which was sup[rising b/c it was cloudy and really windy so you don't even notice the heat. Well then we did this really glorious thing after the beach. We went into town and took pay showers. Now this is amazing water pressure and heat. I felt like I got all the soap out of my hair for the first time in two weeks. It was awesome. The best three dollars I spent in a long time.
Thats about it for my week. I have been reading these devos that amor gave us and they are awesome. They really get you thinking which is good. So I have been learning that way. I will have to take good notes and insights to tell you all about next week.
Well I am really excited for this coming week. I will be working with two different groups and then EPPC is coming this weekend so I am pretty excited!
Prayer time...
- continue to pray for my teammate. It seems each week new people are sick.
- praise that Anna is back to full health after spending 3 days in the states getting better.
-praise for the awesomeness that is God. That he can take me from sitting on a rock in the desert one night to sitting on the beach the next how cool.
- That I will work well with my group this coming week
- That our team would function well together and stay strong as the weeks go on
- That EPPC have safe travel to Mexico this coming weekend

Two Weeks down and what an adventure.
So I have been gone for two weeks now. The first week I was gone was spent in the states at a college doing pre-field orientation. There are ten of us Nexus. Six guys and 4 girls from all over the country. From Alaska to Virgina, Arizona to Washington. It was a fun week. We spent time getting to know each other, taking personality tests, and just sitting and getting bombarded with info. It was a good week though. Then we headed out to Mexico on Saturday. WE set up camp at the main camp just outside Tijuana. We all have our own tents and coats. We got to go to a Mexican Church on Sunday which was really cool. It was in all Spanish so i didn't get much of it but it was so good. The passion and love the pastor spoke with went beyond being able to understand the language. The songs were fun to sing with. Then at the end of the service the pastor called us all up and lead the congregation in prayer for us and our summer. then the whole church got up and hugged and thanked and shook hands with us. It was so cool so different from the US. We were truly welcomed and felt it. After church they had lunch for the whole congregation where you pay and get a sandwich we tried to pay but someone from the church had already paid for all 10 of us. It is crazy how giving these people are with their money. From church we headed to the Laundromat. Another good experience in pointing and understanding each other with out speaking the same language. Then we headed back to camp to rest. On Monday we started our work week. We were to build an Amor house so we know the ropes and can learn the tricks of the trade. We were given one of the harder job sites. This Job site was literally cut out of the side of a hill. It was just minutes from the boarder. We saw the cars and helicopters all week patrolling. Anyway the hill. It was very big and all the sand and rocks that we needed were of course at the top. So we had to send then down by the bucket. and this hill was one that was so steep that it had a tire stair way made in it. I will show pictures later maybe. We had to pick ax some of te hill to make the site big enough and then leveled it out a bit and got to work on the cement mixing. I didn't mix any cement I was doing the everything else roll. I was pouring water, sand cement mix, and then placing and evening out the rest. so I was the do it all person. At the end of the day we only had a little over half the cement poured. This was a big bummer because the one goal of the first day is to get that done was we felt that we were behind. Howy our field staff said that for our group we were doing good. we only had 10 which is a small group and we had a hard site so not to worry. he also enlightened us to the fact that was we were going through out the day the ground had be come more compast and we were now pouring 7 inches of cement instead of the 3 that needed to be done. so we filled that in with some rock before we left. You see this week was all about us figuring things out and howy sitting at the top of the hill taking notes and then at the end of the day telling us what would have been better. how nice right?
So on to Tuesday...
We decide to get an early start and get the cement finished before lunch and then we should be back on track. SO we get out of camp at a good hour and are taking a different way to camp a little longer but more paved roads. We are doing this because Howy wants us to know our way around. So we have two cars for the Nexus a white minivan and a Green Conversion van. So the way there the white van hits a pot hole with an already low tire and bends their rim. So we stop to get the spare on. Then we are now on the dirt roads close to the site and the green van is going down a hill then Nick (the driver) informs the car that we have no brakes. so we down shift and hit the brakes as hard as we can get to the bottom of the hill to find we can't get the car to start. Well after some inspection we find the oil is gone and the car as a safety feature will not turn on. Great start to the day we were going to get there early on right. So I take Howys truck and Brian takes the white van and we go get started with most the group. We get started right away with the cement still carrying the buckets down the stairs and mixing down below. this be come hard due to limited space we have to drop down to just one cement bucket mixing at a time. Needless to say we do not finish before lunch. We finish around 4 and head out after a long day. Howy lets us take the toll road back because it is faster.
Wed...
We head out early today for real cause now we need to build the walls and get them up today if we want any chance of finishing on time. So Howy tells us to get our selves to the site we should know our way by now. so we are going along the road and the dirt road we turn on sneaks up on us and the white van gets over in time but the green van doesn't. Nick in the green van slams on the brakes without thinking on the highway basically. Well a semi was behind us and I guess there was all sorts of smoke and the trailer actually started to slide sideways. (side note: I am usually in the green van and I am also one of the drivers) Well we live. Ali, Anna, and I are all completely unaware of everything that just happened behind us and are very calm and just telling Nick how to get there another way. Mean while we are stopped on the side of the road and Matt and Nick in the front are trying to collect themselves. So we get to the site and we started on the walls. We do manage to get all the walls and bailing wire up. So get back on track not quite where we want to be but close. We head back to camp. on the was back the white van thinks they know a short cut and goes off only to get rear ended and have to go thorough all those issues. No one was hurt and it worked out ok just a hassle.
Thursday...
We head to the site with out any troubles. Thankfully. We get started and we get to the house finished. it was a good day.
Other Good stuff.
I eat goat. So on Tuesday the family is carrying this goat down the side of the hill and it looked dead. Well half way down it starts to bleat. and then they tie it up to a post and leave it for a few days. Well they had already told us they were going to make us lunch ion Thursday so guessed that was it. So all day on Wed. went it made noise we wold just go luuuunch. Wed as we were leaving we saw the butcher coming and sharpening his knifes. Good times. And there it was in a pot on Thursday i got good meat but lets just say some were not so lucky. there was stomach and intestine too.
The family.
Was amazing to see. The father worked so hard with out a break mixing cement. non stop we asked if he need a break and he laughed. The whole neighbor hood was amazing the kids from all over worked with us all week this one boy named Daniel worked with us and he work so hard we thought he lived there and this was his house but we found out it was not. But man that kid worked hard. Then other kids that just want to be held and played with and given attention worked so hard too. On the last day stucco day they all worked really hard. Every time you turned around to get More they were standing right there holding more for you it was awesome. The way they all helped and got excited. The mother was so happy when we handed her the keys she cried and she had her little baby there it was a cool moment.
Then on Friday we headed out to a new camp for the week and set up. We get our first groups next week. Well most of us. I am setting up camp with 3 others nexus. so I will have to wait a week.
Over all it has been a great two weeks I feel like it has been so much longer then that. I am still super excited and loving it. We are back the states day to show groups down to camp. and a working toilet might be my new favorite thing. Kidding but really.
I will give you the names of the other Nexus to you kind of know who I am talking about.
We have:

Ali
Anna

We all get along so far which is really good. I am really excited for the summer will be really fun I am so lucky to be here with these people. They are all so good and help to hold me to a higher standard. the constant reliance and thought about God is truly amazing.
Devos..
Howy has been on devo duty this past week teaching us about prayer. It has been good he is so wise. he was a monk for 11 years. crazy! but just good thing like don't forget to listen, and maybe prayer is not just sitting and throwing everything at God cause you can't always find that time way can't you make it it prayer in the middle of a crying baby or a rough time. Just the act of wanting to pray and having that desire means something too. Just trying to get us thinking out side the box we put prayer into.
Prayers...
Pray for healing as we have had a few sick team member this week. (Anna, Sarah, Matt, Jacob)
Pray for good first weeks for those with groups that that goes well and they have fun.
Pray for strength as we are all tried and will only get more tired as the weeks go on
Pray for a servant attitude as that is what we are here to do serve the groups and each other in the name of Christ.
So I guess that is about it. I will update again next week. Hope all is well with all of you back home. Can't wait to share more and show pictures!

Just a few days
In just a few days I will be heading off to Mexico. I am so excited right now but can't even think of all the excitement because so much still needs to be done. I finally got to the 3,000 needed to give to Amor for the project. Hopefully a few more checks will come in to help cover the airfare. But what a blessing that all the money for amor has come in!
I know some of you are wondering how to go about reaching me this summer. Well the cell phone so far is off limits cause it out be out of country calling I hear that is a pricy these days. You can email me but I only get to the computer once a week on sundays and then only for a limited amount of time. Another way to reach me is by snail mail yeah bringing it back.
my address is...

One week
I leave for Mexico in one week. I am so excited. I just home from Madison this afternoon and now I have one week to get ready for my summer. I have so much to do. I need to unpack, sort, clean, repack, and leave.
The support raising is going pretty well. I have raised about 80% of what I need. So hopefully by the time I leave I will have raised the rest.
Oh I just can't wait to go and get started. I can't believe I leave for the summer in a week so excited but so much to do!

Support Raising
I am accepted into Project Nexus through Amor Ministries. I am so excited to be going. I just can't wait less then a month from today I will be in California waiting to start. I will be working with 9 other interns. We will be spending 4 days a week on the work sight helping groups that come down to build houses and to show the love of Christ through our actions. To go on this wonderful adventure that God has set up for me I have to raise support. That is in both the context of money but more importantly prayer.
So I am starting this blog to hopefully keep you all update on my adventure this summer. To keep you updated on prayer requests and cool things God is teaching me. So this is a start i will try to do this weekly. I am only in the US one day a week with limited access to a computer, but I will try my best.
